"Don't Buy New Pampers Cruisers!" 2010-02-13
By N. Buchanan (OK)
We were disappointed to see that Pampers changed their diapers without notifying consumers. The biggest complaint we have was the removal of the mesh liner - which was the whole reason we were loyal to buying Pampers Cruisers. These diapers give our daughter a horrible rash now every time she wears one. We have since switched to cloth and will not buy any Pampers product again unless they bring back the old liner. There is also NO absorbent layer on the entire back panel of the diaper! If DD is laying on her back, it all just comes right out the back side! They are an inferior product now, but still charging premium prices. I'd rather buy a store brand at this point, if I weren't totally giving up on disposables altogether! Very upset about this change. We used to love them, and have been buying them since DD was born - but no more.

The new Cruisers leak all the time. I will be switching brands after using Pampers for almost 2 years.

 "Disappointing Design Change" 2010-01-29
By Jenni Baker (Birmingham, AL)
Disappointing design change, January 29, 2010

Reviewer: Jenni Baker (Birmingham, AL) - See all my reviews

I have been purchasing the Cruisers for the last year. I recently purchased a pack of cruisers that had the new design change (the dry max liner rather than the mesh liner). After the fourth day of wear, my son developed red welts and a rash on his legs, bottom, and genitals (every where the diaper touched) that looked a lot more like a chemical burn than a diaper rash. When I placed him in an oatmeal bath to soothe his skin, he yelped in terror and pain because the water caused the welts on his legs to bubble. I took him to the doctor, and the doctor said my son had an allergy to the diapers. The doctor could not confirm if my son was allergic to a perfume or a bleaching agent, etc in the diaper. I contacted Proctor and Gamble and reported the issue. Their safety department is now reviewing my report.

If your child has even a hint of sensitive skin, do not buy the new pampers cruisers design. There are several reviews on other sites by parents reporting similar issues with a strange welting rash that develops quickly and is difficult to cure.

"New Cruisers STINK -- literally. Boooooo!" 2010-01-24
By RainyDay
Cruisers were great. No complaints. Now suddenly, the mesh liner is gone, and when my son urinates, it smells like a CHEMICAL PLANT. I'm not kidding. These are the worst, cheapest things ever. And they didn't even change the packaging. I am so angry -- clearly they just wanted to save a buck, but the smell of these things? VILE. I have compared the old and "new" side by side -- old: nice smell, thicker, mesh lining. New: no lining, smells like chemicals, thinner. I will make it my business to write bad reviews about these diapers, because it's so typical that they think they can change something without telling the consumer, and we're supposed to pay the same amount for worse quality. Way to cut corners, Pampers. I hope you lose half your business because of the bad reviews the new Cruisers are getting. That's what happens when you try and sneak something past the customers. And PampersPattie, the Pampers rep who trolls on these sites and "responds" -- there's nothing you can say that changes the truth -- these diapers SUCK. And you know it.
