"OK but not the best" 2010-04-13
By Huxtable (Florida)
This diaper is just ok. I've used it on my small two month old daughter starting when she was about 8.5 lbs. She's now 10.5 lbs. My little one is a heavy wetter, and this diaper has leaked every time that we've used it. I don't think the inside is absorbant enough. While the diaper is pretty thin, who cares about a diaper's thinness if it has terrible absorbancy. Also, the leg gussets look neat, but they're designed poorly. The white lining of the leg gussets is not made out of the waterproof material, so if they get wet then there is leakage at the legs. My final issue with this diaper is that the rise is way too low. I'm saying that and I have a girl. I can only imaging how much worse this issue would be if I had a boy. I think Bumgenius all-in-ones are definitely better!

 "Most affordable AIO" 2010-04-11
By AJ_Colo (Superior, CO)
I wish I bought these sooner! I have both BumGenius and Thirsties AIOs in size XS...my daughter is 10 lbs, 12 oz now and still fits in the Thirsties XS but outgrew her BumGenius over a month ago. They take awhile to dry but make cloth diapering super easy.

"Not What I Thought They Would Be!" 2010-04-01
By Special Needs Mom (Pittsburgh, PA USA)
I thought these diapers would be the answer to our diapering woes, but they failed short of my expectations. I washed them every other day and they still smelled terrible after they were washed, even with using the Thirsties detergent. I bought the extra liners and even with them, my son still had numerous leaks, proving that these diapers are not leak-proof. Since buying them and using them for two weeks with all of these problems, they have since been thrown out and we are back to using disposables. The only plus I would give is they look cute on and have a wide array of colors, and they fit true to size.

 "Great Diaper" 2010-03-13
By H. Glenn
I really like the Thirsy AIO diaper. It is not the most absorbant though so does need to be changed more often than others. It is very easy to use, and I would say the most like a disposable in terms of use. These are being discontinued, so if you like them you should stock up on them while you can.

 "Leaky and stinky." 2010-03-04
By L. E. Riley (Germany)
First of all I own three Thirsties Fab Fitted diapers and several Thirsties Duo wraps and have had no leaking problems with either. I purchased three of these pocket/all-in-ones in size medium for the babysitter to use. I washed and machine dried these diapers three times with my other diapers and covers (cold water prewash w/ vinegar, hot wash with All Free and Clear, super rinse) before I tried them out. I stuffed them with a hemp insert and a cotton gauze flat fold for nighttime. My poor little one woke up about five hours later in a puddle! The diaper had leaked out the back. I stuffed another diaper that same night and tried again. Another puddle :(. I proceeded to check the final diaper for repelling the next morning and it seemed to be doing it's job. I then checked the seams and made sure the diaper fit properly. I decided to do three more washes and see if that helped. I washed and machine dried three more times and tried again. This time during the day with no inserts. It was soaked after an hour! Maybe I had mineral/soap residue. I stripped the diapers by themselves using 1TBSP Dawn soap in a hot water wash with three HOT rinses. Machine dried. Stuffed for overnight and got to change the sheets.....I washed the diaper with my diapers as usual and it reeked of ammonia when I took it out. I have finally given up. My Fab fitted diapers are made of the same material and I have never had to strip them and have not experienced any lingering odors. It also wasn't my inserts as I have NEVER had to strip my flats or my hemp and they are very absorbant. I am so confused. Some of the other reviewers have had great success with the diaper and I am glad. It is a great (in theory) diaper for a great price.
