 "Buy Huggies Pullups instead" 2009-06-18
By R. Rogers (Nashville, TN)
I had been buying these but my most recent boxes of both boy and girl aprpoximately 25% of the Easy Ups have been tearing at the sides, even while being put on. My kids are still well within the weight limits, so that isn't the problem. I think Pampers has some Q/C issues they need to address. I have switched to Pull-Ups since they have the velcro sides, so even if they "tear" you can at least still use them, whereas the Easy-Ups are just trash, once they rip.

"what a nightmare, get the better brand instead" 2009-02-18
By Maria Francis Gossner (Lombard, IL)
I thought I would save some money with these, they are cheaper than Huggies Pull-Ups, which I have been buying for years. I have tried the cheap route before with diapers and pull ups with my other children, but I guess I didn't learn the lesson very well. The easy ups were constantly ripping on the sides. If my son had to use the bathroom even once, they were guaranteed to rip and had to be diaper pinned or thrown out. Absorption also was bad. Everyday I was washing the bedding, what a nightmare. After about a month of disbelief about how bad they are, I threw the rest in the garbage. Now I am back to Huggies Pull Ups and all is fine. It's worth paying more. Too bad I wasted the money on these.

 "My son loves these!" 2008-05-05
By Dad of 3 (Newport News, Virginia)
He'll wear them when we're out, when it's hard to find a bathroom quickly. We can just change him IF he has an accident and be on our way.

Although i should add that he is doing GREAT with these, not many accidents at all.

 "Bargain Mom's must Buy" 2009-01-25
By Beth Johnson (Baton Rouge, LA)
I have tried several different training pants (Pampers Easy Ups, Clifford the Dog, Huggies Pull Ups, White Cloud). By far, I have had the most success with the Pampers.

The other "cheaper" brands appear to be more cost effective, but if you do the math, they are the same price as the Pampers brand (if you buy in bulk). Also, as expected, the cheaper ones do not absorb nearly as much urine and I was going through them faster than diapers.

The Huggies Pullups were my second choice and I love the velcro sides, but they are more expensive than the Pampers brand. And, I found that the "cool alert" irritated my daughter (maybe it was more of a sensation thing).

"Beware - different design than size 4" 2008-10-17
By Busy Bee (Delray Beach, FL, USA)
My daughter wore the size 4's no problem, but within 24 hours of wearing the size 5's, she had a flaming bum. Upon side by side comparison, the size 5's have an elastic strip that goes right down the middle, front to back, and whatever it is made of created a horrible allergic reaction that took 1 ped visit and 7 days to clear up. I wrote to pampers who denied that there was anything different between the 4 and 5, even though I could SEE that there was. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and wanting to recoup my $30 investment, I tried the diapers again, with the same result. After 2 years of only Pampers, we are now a Huggies household.

"My daughter like's the Dora design, but..." 2008-03-22
By J. Doherty (Hayward, CA)
the sides are too flimsy, and she often tears them when pulling them up, so we end up wasting quite a few along the way. Other brands have readjustable side openings (with a velcro-like closure) so will stand up to a 3-year old who is not the gentlest of pullers; especially when she's trying to quickly pull them up to get back to playing. Luckily, she only needs them when we're going to be away from potties for a while during road trips and at night to prevent accidents. They're a lot cheper than the other brand, though, and have a lovely powder scent.

"My Favorite - By Far!" 2008-02-27
By K Martin (Indiana)
These are by far the best pull on diapers I've found. I've tried huggies pull ups and other versions, but none of them hold up overnight the way these do. The only thing that would be nice is if pampers would add the velcro sides like the huggies have...

"Dora is always a pleaser" 2009-06-23
By HSHmom (Pittsboro, NC)
Any little girl is crazy nowadays about Dora. Who cares what she is on?

A winner for my toddler.

As mom, these are diapers which can hold less liquid so that little girls have to eventually call you on how it leaks. Some kids believe they are still diapers and pee on them like crazy. Got lucky, mine calls me to pull them down.

Lesson: it all depends on your kid.

Almost as important is how quickly they arrive after ordering. It usually takes 4-5 days on the slowest shipping option.

 "Daughter LOVES Dora." 2009-02-13
By Paul C (New Jersey)
My Daughter Loves Dora, so they were a big hit. They also have the little icons that show up whey they're wet. So that's good too. The only thing I didn't like compared to other brands is the sides don't open. You have to tear them for accident cleaning.

 "No More Leaks" 2009-11-22
By krabappel (Mandeville)
Oddly enough, I had ordered the Easy-Ups for boys, as I have a boy, but was sent the Easy-Ups for girls. No matter. He's madly in love with Dora anyway and now gets to add a splash of pink to his wardrobe. I got the Easy-Ups because I'd been using standard diapers, but my boy has a habit of comforting himself a la Al Bundy: sticking his hand down his pants. While I got some strange looks and even had some teenagers trying to take pictures of him with their phone, I wasn't fazed. Diapers are half the price of these things, and he's nowhere near ready for potty-training. So there's this one day at the library, where there's a Roald Dahl-inspired celebration going on. We check out our books, and apparently, some books are marked as "winners." We checked out a winning book, and the librarian makes a fuss, shakes some maracas and announces loudly that we're winners, before handing my daughter a golden ticket and some chocolate bars. I turn to share my joy with my aforementioned son, and he's standing right behind me. In a puddle. He'd unfastened his diaper by shoving his hand down his pants, and now he'd left a puddle in the middle of the library's carpet right after the big noisemaking, attention-getting announcement that we'd won. I cleaned up the mess and then promptly came home to order Easy-Ups.

Short story: I've done all the homework and math. These cost exactly the same per Easy-Up as buying at a bulk club, except this way, they're delivered right to my door. Serenity Now.

The pampers easy ups for girls is a good product to use for toddlers however the only downfall is that the sides to not come apart without you cutting or ripping them.

"The go-to training pants at our house!" 2010-01-29
By Sarah M.
These are the best training pants we've found, and we've tried many others. Our two boys wear them. One is a large 2 year old, and the other is a small 5 year old, and the really convenient thing is that they BOTH wear size 5's. We have had very few leaks/messes with these pants, and they don't seem to smell as bad when wet as other brands we've tried.

THESE PAMPERS HOLD ALLOT, MY SON IS NOT BEING POTTY TRAINED SO THEY HOLD EVERYTHING. THEY ALSO WORK OVER NIGHT. BUT SOMETIMES AT NIGHT THEY WILL LEAK BUT THATS IF HE SLEEPS AN EXTRA LONG NIGHT. I THINK I HAVE ONLY HAD 2 TIMES THEY LEAKED AND THAT WAS WHEN HE SLEPT FOR OVER 11 HOURS. GREAT PRICE TOO

"cheap, absorbent, but they rip" 2009-11-25
By bunnybutt (SF, CA)
like another reviewer said, these are really weak along the sides. i was surprised when my 3yo kept saying his pants were falling down. well, his easy ups had ripped, and were sideways inside his pants, hanging by one leg. this has happened about 3 times in 30....not so great. on the other hand, these easyups are fairly cheap compared to competitors. i still don't think i'll buy them again. i'm disappointed by the quality, considering that this is a pampers product.

 "Too easy to break" 2009-09-30
By S. Chou (Hayward, CA USA)
My son has been using Pampers diaper since he was born and we are both happy with the quality. However, this specific size of pull-up is not durable at all and very easy to tear at the sealing on the sides. It's not suitable toddlers under potty train, which requires pulling down and up the training pants often.
