Over the past six months or so, I have ordered at least a five boxes (Amazon usually sells them in boxes containing six bottles) of this stuff in the various product types (hand soap, shampoo and body soap) in the Berry and Melon scents. My kids are pretty young, so bar soaps and liquid soaps can be a bit of a challenge to use and to rinse off completely. They love these Kandoo soap products since the soap comes out of the bottle as foam and not liquid, making it very easy for them to use it by themselves (less mess for my wife and me to clean) and is very easy for them to see where the soap has been applied and then to rinse off completely. Our kids always have been ok with bath time, but Kandoo has made it a lot more fun for them by shortening the time dedicated wash and rinse and becoming an integral part of their bath playtime.
These soaps are scented and the scent can be pretty strong. My kids and I like the scents but more sensitive noses might not (wife thinks that both scents are too strong). The scents are very "candy-like" - kind of similar to Jolly Ranchers, if they make these flavors(?). Berry is the first choice in our household for the scent but the kids also like Melon for its vivid green color. The Berry is a fun, purple color but not nearly as bright as the Melon.
Another nice touch is that you can minimize accidental usage by turning the bottle's nozzle to the "lock" position - the same position each new bottle is in straight from the box.
If you try it and think that your kids will like this soap over the long term, be sure to get the "Kandoo Shampoo & Body Wash Holder". Also, be sure to stock up on body soap and shampoo anytime that Amazon has it in stock. They sell out really quickly and take a while to re-stock. Thank me later. :) And the Berry scent in all the products tends to be the hardest to get.
Some nitpicks:
-The pump can be little stiff on some bottles. In one case (out of several dozen bottles), the pump got jammed in the down position and we had to use the nozzle from a new bottle. And some bottles appear to have less efficient pumps (requiring more pumps to produce the same amount of soap), so we end up re-using the nozzles from prior bottles that had a smoother action.
-It's very fun for kids to use (make fake beards, build soap-people, paint walls, etc.), BUT this means that one bottle does not last all that long in our house (less than a week).
-The body soap seems to be a little stronger than the shampoo. I literally rubbed both into my eyes to test the "no tears" factor (yes, I am an idiot/overly-protective parent) and, though neither was painful, the body soap did seem to cause minor discomfort. Other than some purple or green foamy vision, the shampoo was unnoticeable. Basically, neither should result in screaming or crying if it gets into your little one's eyes. I'd stick with the shampoo if you only want to get one Kandoo soap product to try since it is better suited for washing the face as well as the body (and hair, of course).
Despite some VERY minor drawbacks, I will be buying Kandoo soaps until the kids get bored of them, which is not looking likely to happen anytime soon.
